Aeranthos

It grows as a rosette and usually with a short stem.  It has an average dimension of 11 - 13 cm in diameter and height.  The flowers are arranged in a spiral on the rachis, up to 2-4 cm long, blue or grey blue, but they are often indigo so deep as to appear almost black.  It is an undemanding, hardy and resistant species, but also a graceful bloomer.  It is a specially good for beginners.
