Magnusiana

It is a stemless plant, growing in rather large turf areas, up to  15cm high with numerous sheaths forming a pseudobulb and blades  spreading out in all directions.  The flowers are violet, upright, about  4cm long, tubular, surpassed by the stamens.  It needs moderate  watering and very light sunny conditions.  With its white, fine to  feather-scaled leaves, it is one of the most beautiful of small  tillandsias.
