The species name refers to the delicate, yellowish, pastel tones of the floral bracts and scape bracts. It is stemsless, can grow up to 70cm to 1m high including the inflorescence. The petals are pale lavender, about 8mm wide, somewhat recurved at the tip, surpassed by the stamens, which are 8.5cm long and lavender in the upper part. It likes very bright and sunny conditions. Spray only. A splendid, silver grey, but large species. In winter months is best to keep it in bright, cool place (10 - 15 degrees C), with slow moving air. Water it about 3 times a month, and let it dry quickly.
